How to Move On: Mindset, Thoughts and Behaviors to Take You to the Right Next Place

How to Move On (Woman looking at Question Marks on Chalkboard)

“It’s not how you come into a crisis …
it’s how you come out and move on.”

I ask myself…

“Is this (behavior, action, relationship) helping or harming me?”

“Am I getting what I tolerate?”

“Do I train others to do what I tolerate?”

“Are habits I thought were forever now needing to move aside for something more appropriate to the time, place, and who I am today?”

“Can I accept with peace and open my heart?”

“Do I want what I had before, or am I ready to accept what I want and need to move on?

“Is my pain or dissatisfaction coming from a lack of a worthy goal?”

“Am I finding joy in missing out?”

Actions I can take…

Scan my body to find the stress.

Jump (the net will appear).

Work it daily.

Refine what I most love to do (and with whom).

Rid my life of toxic people and move on.

Strive for greater diversity in my life.

Practice gratitude daily.

Act with generosity in mind.

Look for opportunities to spread joy.

Lead with empathy.

Listen more than talk.

Move to be healthier than my age, gender, or my preconceived notions.

Make connections with people who have lessons to teach.

Accept some things are just not right for me (now or maybe never).

Get out of the situation and move on.

To move on I need a mindset, willingness, and fortitude to embrace change. It is not always easy and often not quick, it is rewarding. Being my authentic self in thought and action is invigorating, calming, and powerful.

“I don’t regret the things I have done,
only the things I have not.”
