In May of 2002, seven years into a career in investment banking, private equity and corporate development, I was unexpectedly laid off during a force reduction at the technology consulting and engineering firm where I had been a director of strategic development for less than a year. This event came 18 months after I had begun to seriously reconsider the trajectory of my career. Though troubled by my current situation for over a year, it was not until I was forced to take a step back that I finally made the time to re-evaluate my professional progress. Jane Cranston is a guru-master-generator, someone who with the talons of an eagle and the eye of the all knowing, intersects and disconnects patterns of unworkability to deliver outcomes and achievements. When I'm lost and can't find my way in life, and going through major transitions, I look for and need a 'Master' to guide me through the shifts and changes. Jane Cranston is a 'Master' at her craft.
